Jewels Of Montenegro Boat Tour Highlights
The first stop on our tour is the Blue Cave. One of the most wanted attractions in Montenegro, this cave will mesmerize you with otherworldly shades of blue. We’ll stop here for a full hour so you can enjoy swimming and diving while soaking in the unique environment of the Blue Cave.
Continuing our tour, we’ll pass by the Mamula Fortress on the Lastavica Island. Located right at the entrance into the Boka Bay, this circular fortress looks like something out of a movie, but was once a very real prison. The next stop is a secret submarine tunnel which we will briefly explore.
Next stop is Perast, a charming, stunning, idyllic, breathtaking old town. This small baroque town is centered around the single main street along the sea. The rest of the town is mainly reached by stairs climbing up the steep hills. The numerous villas and churches of Perast look almost the same as when they were built centuries ago resulting in a very unique atmosphere.
Perast cannot be fully experienced without a visit to its island church, which will be our next stop. Our Lady of the Rocks is a unique artificial island, the story of which you will learn from our captain. Visiting Perast and the islands will pull you into the world of seafarers, love, human impermanence and longevity of memory.
After so many beautiful views of the Bay of Kotor, it’s time to indulge the sense of taste too. First, we’ll head to the village of Ljuta where we’ll visit a secret empire of delicacies. COGImar is more than a seafood store; it’s basically an exhibition of all the flavors of the Mediterranean. Besides all imaginable local seafood, they also offer an exquisite selection of cheese, prosciutto, pasta, wine, and more. We’ll stop here for half an hour. You can simply look around, shop, or participate in free cheese tasting.
After all this you’ll probably be quite hungry, so won’t waste any more time and take you straight to lunch. There are two options to choose from here: Bokeski Gusti restaurant in Prcanj or a mussels farm located right in the heart of the bay.
Bokeski Gusti is a family-run restaurant with authentic local food. The restaurant sits right on the edge of the sea with a charming view on Kotor and the rest of the bay. Here you will try the famous ‘Bokeski Pjat’ (seafood platter), which is a selection of the finest eats in our traditional cuisine composed of calamari, risotto, squids, prawns, and various types of fried fish. The seafood platter, along with a fish pate starter and a glass of wine are included in the price of the ticket.
The other option is a mussel farm traditionally cooked mussels directly from the sea! You’ll have one hour or more for your meal. There is no need to rush – we can arrange a pick up time on the spot. after which we slowly head back to Kotor.
